Spotify, the (Western) world's most popular streaming service hardly needs an introduction. The music streaming service is available in 92 countries mainly in Europe, North and South America and has managed to amass more than 299m monthly active users and 138m paying subscribers. Spotify offers an ad-funded semi-interactive streaming service as well as an on-demand subscription streaming service. The service offers a wide variety of playlists, both curated by humans as well as by smart algorithms.

In June 2015 iTunes launched its subscription music streaming service "Apple Music". Apple Music is available in the same territories as the iTunes Store and is currently the most successful subscription streaming service in the US, ahead of Spotify. Aside from its vast catalog, the service offers curated playlists and user-specific listening recommendations to its subscribers. Apple Music allows unlimited on-demand streaming and subscriptions are available from 9.99 USD/EURO/GBP per month in the US, EU, and the UK. Apple does not operate an advertisement-funded streaming service, like for example Deezer or Spotify, which allows users to access music for free.

Tidal is the name of the audio and audiovisual streaming service that
was launched in 2014. The company was acquired by Project
Panther, a year later, a company owned by superstar rapper Jay Z. In
2021 Tidal was acquired by Financial Services company Square.
To distinguish itself from other streaming services, it started to work
with big stars in the music industry like Beyoncé and Kanye West
putting their new music exclusively on Tidal. Also providing its
content in lossless format, as much as possible, is a specific key
characteristic for the service.

TIDAL

France-based Deezer is one of the biggest and most
globally-available streaming services in the world. Deezer was
launched in 2007 and is currently live in over 185 countries and has
approximately 16 million monthly active users, and 7 million paid
subscribers as of February 2020. With 7m paying users and 16m
monthly active users, Deezer seems to have an exceptionally high
paid-freemium ratio. The service is available for Web, Android, iOS,
Windows Mobile, BlackBerry OS, and Windows, MacOS.

* YouTube (Content ID Agreement):
Google-owned YouTube is a video-sharing website on which users can upload, view and share (music) videos. Most of the content on YouTube is user-generated, but professional media companies and content owners also offer their content on the site. By delivering your content to YouTube via the FUGA Aggregation Service labels are able to monetize each and every view of a video on YouTube containing their content or a snippet thereof. Labels delivering content directly to YouTube will have access to YouTube’s Content Management System (“CMS”), allowing them to manage their content on YouTube. All content delivered to YouTube via melabel Distribution Service will automatically become part of YouTube’s audio-fingerprinting system/ CMS system, which automatically detects and provides the option to monetize videos that contain the label’s content. FUGA Aggregation Services is an Official YouTube Partner. Further to this, aggregation clients are also able to have their channels added to FUGA's YouTube Multi Channel Network (MCN), so videos are able to be claimed as music videos, which are monetized at a slightly higher rate than standard UGC.
